General public transportation trips for riders of all ages

By Osage County Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

Our general public transit buses have been a little light on many of our Topeka and Emporia shopping trips. These trips are open to any Osage County resident, of any age, and only a $3 donation is requested per person. Ask any of the regular riders, and you will find out the trips are fun and economical, and our drivers are very service oriented. The weekly schedule is attached to the senior center news, and we simply ask that you call the Osage County Senior Center, 785-528-4906,  at least the day before a trip so we can provide you details on pick-up and destinations.

A quick reminder: tickets are available now for our annual quilt raffle. For every six pack of tickets sold for $5 you get a ticket to our separate raffle for several other special prizes. The actual drawing will be Dec. 17. This raffle serves as the main fundraiser for the senior sewing ladies activity at the senior center. The senior center is at 604 Market St., Osage City.
