Carbondale woman’s prison sentence suspended

LYNDON – Amy J. Gunnells, 37, Carbondale, was sentenced Monday in Osage County District Court to 30 months in custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections, but that sentence was suspended and she was placed on intensive supervised probation for 24 months with mandatory drug treatment.

In May, Gunnells was found guilty at trial of possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested by the Osage County Sheriff’s Office in March of 2013 during the execution of a drug search warrant at a residence in Carbondale, Kan.
