Help a child, volunteer as a special advocate

SOS CASA of the Flint Hills begins summer training classes for new Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers July 3 and will utilize a blended training curriculum.

This five-week curriculum includes a weekly in-person class and online session at the volunteer’s leisure.

CASA volunteers uncover facts for the court in child abuse and neglect cases, develop a special relationship with the child and family and make recommendations to the court in the child’s best interests.

CASA is accepting applications for volunteers to join the CASA team and embark on a journey to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in our community. Applicants must be 21 years or older, be able to commit to two years with the program and care about the well-being of children.

To sign-up for the training or for more information call CASA, 620-343-2744, or email [email protected].
