Agency on aging plans helpful seminars to begin this fall

In July, our rider appreciation trip will be to Topeka for a meal and a movie on July 24, with lunch planned for McFarland’s. The evening supper trip will be July 30 to Hays House, in Council Grove. All of the details will be published in next week’s senior center news with signup sheets available at that time, also.

The Osage County Senior Center has applications for Farmer’s Market Vouchers, which is sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging. Qualified folks can receive six $5 vouchers good at area farmers markets.

Speaking about the Area Agency on Aging, they are planning some pretty neat things at the senior center starting in October (which will be here before you know it). We have discussed quarterly seminars regarding social security, Medicare, adult abuse and health related issues.  And, we have tentatively planned a shred event on Oct. 11, in our east parking lot.

So, please keep reading the senior center news, or stop by the center once in a while for updated information at 604 Market St., Osage City, or call 785-528-4906.
