Weird animals to help children learn to look for evidence of God

SCRANTON – A fun and memorable evening event, called Weird Animals Vacation Bible School, will be hosted by the Cross Road Community Church Sunday, July 20 to Friday, July 25. At Weird Animals VBS, kids will learn about some of God’s most creative creations and be reminded that they are one of a kind.

Each evening features teamwork building and learning games, high energy music and songs, Bible adventures and light snacks. The popular science segment features many gizmos the kids get to take home. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through the segment called God Sightings.

Weird Animals VBS is for children ages 4 through sixth grade and is held 6:30-8:45 each evening. There is no cost to attend and participants are encouraged to invite their friends. VBS registration starts at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 20 or register online through the church website at www.mycrossroad.org. For more information, call Pastor Don Herren at 785-793-2431.
