Quilts offer comfort during the summer, too

Displaying the quilt that is on display at Lyndon State Bank is Help House board president Judy Brown.

As part of Help House’s summer fundraising efforts, three quilts have been donated for prizes in a raffle with a drawing date of Aug. 22. To highlight the donated quilts, Help House is displaying them at local businesses.

This week’s quilt was donated to Help House by Kathy Smith, of Great Plains Quilt Co., Burlingame. The western horse theme quilt, measuring 59 1/2 inches by 72 1/2 inches, was created by Deloris Reick, of Burlingame.

The quilt will be on display at Lyndon State Bank, 817 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, until the drawing date on Aug. 22. Tickets may be purchased for $1 each or six for $5.

The first quilt was put on display at Citizens State Bank, 1400 Topeka Ave., Lyndon. See story here.
