Busy April planned at senior center

Osage County Senior Center News

Submitted by Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

Due to a personnel shortage there won’t be a Topeka shopping trip on April 10 for Osage City and Burlingame. If anyone was planning on this particular bus trip, they can call 785-528-4906 to get lined up for one of the other April Topeka or Emporia destination trips.

The center continues to recruit local citizens as volunteer drivers to help folks get to medical appointments when the general public transportation buses are not available. Interested parties should call the senior center for further information.

The April senior center newsletter is out with the activity calendar, the lunch menu and the public transit schedule. Along with all the regular activities, there is a lot going on this month, including two foot care clinics, two wellness clinics, and the senior resource fair, for which the center is offering bus transportation.
