Help House raffle spreads summer warmth

080414-help-house-quilt4The third and final quilt in Help House’s summer fundraiser has been donated by Kathy Smith, of Great Plains Quilt Co., Burlingame.

The quilt measures 52 1/2 inches by 67 1/2 inches. It will be on display at Overbrook at Kansas State Bank, 400 Maple St., then at First Security Bank, 312 Maple St., until the drawing date on August 22. Displaying the third quilt is Help House director Pam Bilyeu.

As part of Help House’s summer fundraising efforts, three quilts have been donated as prizes for a raffle. To highlight the donated quilts, Help House is displaying them at local businesses until the drawing date of Aug. 22.

The first quilt was put on display at Citizens State Bank, 1400 Topeka Ave., Lyndon; the second quilt is at Lyndon State Bank, 817 Topeka Ave., Lyndon.

Tickets can be purchased up to the time of the drawings for $1 each or six for $5. Tickets are purchased where each quilt is located and are only for that quilt.
