New bus joins public transportation fleet; all riders welcome

Thanks to all who donated towards, and attended the nutrition site’s ice cream social at the Osage County Senior Center. We also want to express our appreciation to those folks who regularly ride our public transportation buses. Of course, without your patronage this service would eventually disappear.

Speaking of transportation, the new bus acquired just recently is now on the road. It is a white mini-bus with a dark red stripe and the words “General Public Transportation” on the sides. The phone number to contact for reservations or information, 785-528-4906, is also printed on the sides.

The key words, general public, should indicate to you that anyone can ride our buses. We who provide transit services using Kansas Department of Transportation funded buses do not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran or low income status. We comply with the equal opportunity clauses of the Civil Rights Act, including Title VI and Title IX.
