Harry Bodden Prim, 85, Overbrook: Dec. 17, 1928 – Sept. 12, 2014

Harry Bodden “Junior” Prim, 85, passed away Sept. 12, 2014, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kan. He was born in Lawrence, Kan., Dec. 14, 1928, the son of Harry W. Prim and Marie (McGeeney) Prim. He graduated from Overbrook High School with the class of 1946. He was a lifelong Overbrook resident.

Junior served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954 in the Signal Corp primarily in Alaska. He attained the rank of corporal.

He was a lifelong stockman and farmer. He also ran a dairy farm with his brother for many years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, at LaPeer.

On Dec. 28, 2009, Junior was united in marriage with Kathryn Prim, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

He is also survived by a son, Mike Prim and his wife, Kathy, Overbrook; a daughter, Patti Cooper and her husband, Marc, Carbondale; sister-in-law, Monica Prim; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Matt, and niece, Pam.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Prim, and infant sister Betty Prim.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, Overbrook. Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Rock Creek Cemetery.
