Dawnette Hoerner, 52, Quenemo: Aug. 31, 1962 – Sept. 15, 2014

QUENEMO – Dawnette (Gaul) Hoerner, 52, passed away on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, near Vassar, Kan. She was born on Aug. 31, 1962, in Kittanning, Pa., the daughter of Donnel and Joanne Hileman Gaul.

Dawnette was born in Pennsylvania, grew up in Missoula, Mont., had lived in Florida for 18 years, and had lived near Pomona Lake since 2001.

She graduated from Hope Sound Christian Academy in Florida. She had been in clerical work in the medical field for many years. She attended the Michigan Valley Community Church.

On June 15, 2001, Dawnette was married to David Hoerner, at the Mt. Pleasant Community Church.

Dawnette was preceded in death by her father, Donnel, in 1988, and by an infant sister, Cindy Gaul.

Dawnette is survived by her husband, David, of the home; son, Britton Winter (Rebecca), of Stuart, Fla.; daughter, Ashley Dawn Hoerner, of the home; mother, Joanne Gaul, Quenemo; and brother, Nolan Gaul (Treba), of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Michigan Valley Community Church. Burial will be in Lyndon Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Feltner Funeral Home, in Lyndon.
