Betty Lou Miller, 87, Lyndon: Feb. 7, 1927 – Sept. 15, 2014

LYNDON – Betty Lou Miller, 87, passed away on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at Peterson Nursing Home, in Osage City. She was born on Feb. 7, 1927, on the family farm northwest of Lyndon, the daughter of Chester and Frances King Nichols.

Betty had lived all of her life in the Lyndon community. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1945.

Betty had worked for the State of Kansas in the Department of Revenue. She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist Church, both in Lyndon.

On Sept. 3, 1950, Betty was married to Arlie Miller, in Lyndon. Betty was preceded in death by Arlie on July 7, 2011.

Betty is survived by her two sons, David Miller, Lyndon, and Donald Miller, Valley Falls; two grandsons, Jared Miller, Olpe, and Jason Miller, Marion; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel, in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Inurnment will be in Vassar Cemetery.
