Public transit provides opportunity to stock up on ceramics supplies

There is a change to the general public transit schedule and activity calendar for Sept. 30.091714-POTTERY-03 We will be sending the bus to the Topeka area that day for ceramics shopping. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in purchasing greenware and other supplies for our weekly ceramics activity at the senior center, or even if you work on ceramics at home. Make sure you let us know no later than the Monday before if you would like to go. Call 785-828-4906 or stop by the Osage County Senior Center at 604 Market St., Osage City. The bus will leave the center around 8:15 a.m.

The popularity of our Sept. 18 evening bus trip to Olpe’s Chicken House was pretty immense, and we are pleased to get assistance from the Osage Nursing Center transit coordinator, Wyatt Lockwood, with the rider overflow. Their bus will follow ours to Olpe and they will board our alternate riders as well as their own residents who choose to go. This is what interagency coordination is all about. (Thanks, Wyatt!)
