Can you use it in a sentence? Senior spelling bee planned for October

In two short weeks we will be putting on our fifth annual Senior Spelling Bee, at the Osage County Senior Center. This is such a fun event for both the competitors and the spectators, and a great learning experience for our fifth-grader panel of judges. Besides prizes for the top three spellers, there’s cake and ice cream afterwards, so please come in for this event starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 9.

The senior center has become more and more popular to reserve as a place to gather family members, constituents, friends, and those folks that have similar interests. And, we are very pleased to be an important part of the local community. However, we want to remind folks that the reservation calendar fills up fast and we do have a first come/call, first serve policy. We can take reservations up to a year in advance. Luckily we haven’t had major problems with this, but cancellation notifications need to be made as soon as possible. We have had a few situations when there was no notice called in and we did not find out about the event being cancelled until a day or two before the event. So, please keep that in mind when you decide the senior center is the place you want to be.
