U.S. 75 bridges to reopen today

By early evening today, Friday, Sept. 26, all repair and resurfacing work on eight bridges south of Lyndon has been completed, and U.S Highway 75 will be fully reopened to unrestricted traffic, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Work on the bridges along an eight-mile stretch of U.S. 75, from the Marais des Cygnes River Bridge to the south Osage County line, began in April.

Crews are removing traffic control this afternoon and northbound and southbound U.S. 75 across all eight bridges will open to unrestricted traffic by early evening.

KDOT thanked drivers for their patience during construction.
