Mildred Lou Lininger, 72, Melvern: May 10, 1942 – Sept. 28, 2014

MELVERN – Mildred Lou Lininger, 72, passed away on Sept. 28, 2014, at the Stormont-Vail hospital, in Topeka. She was born on May 10, 1942, in Canton, Ill., the daughter of George and Mildred Carley.

Milly had lived in Melvern since 1980.

She was a hairdresser and had been a security deputy. She had served as a member of the Melvern City Council. She loved to crochet and sew.

Milly was married to Charles “Bud’ Lininger in May 1980.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred, and her brother George Carley.

She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home, and several stepchildren, step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

She was cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
