Frontier Extension District offers early childhood workshop at Garnett

Have you ever been secretly pleased when one of the children in your group is absent? Some children are more difficult to work with than others.

A workshop, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Frontier Extension District Garnett office, will help early childhood educators, caregivers and parents take an honest look at children and their feelings about them. The “Building Relationships with Children and Youth Who Challenge Us”  workshop will explore what educators, caregivers and parents can do to build positive relationships with all children – even the challenging ones.

Preregistration is requested; call any of the Frontier Extension District offices – Garnett, 785-448-6826, Lyndon,  785-828-4428, or Ottawa, 785-229-3520. The registration fee of $5 can be paid at the workshop. The workshop is at Frontier Extension District, 411 S. Oak St., Garnett.

The workshop is approved for two in-service clock hours by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. For more information, contact Rebecca McFarland at 785-229-3520.
