Nutrition site offers friendly reminder that it’s chili season

102214-chili-soupPlease consider this your two-week notice. The nutrition site will be putting on a chili soup feed the evening of Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Osage County Senior Center. The meal will be classic, and so good, including chili, crackers, coleslaw, and cinnamon rolls. This is an important fundraiser for the nutrition program and we hope to have a good turnout.

There are still a few seats left on the Saturday, Nov. 1, trip to Topeka’s Historical Society Museum, with lunch at Cracker Barrel. The bus will leave the center at 10:30 a.m. The cost of the trip is $10 per person, which covers transit and the museum entry fee.

You still have opportunities to attend Medicare and related insurance seminars at the center in November, including the Area Agency on Aging Medicare Part D enrollment assistance on Nov. 5, and Coventry Health seminars on Nov. 4 and 17. Call 785-528-4906 or stop by the center at 604 Market St., Osage City, for more information.
