Fall theater: OCHS players to present ‘Legally Blonde The Musical’

Elle Woods is ready to prove that blondes can succeed, even at Harvard Law School.  Osage City High School students are preparing to present the musical version of the popular film “Legally Blonde”. The musical follows Elle as she leaves behind her Delta Nu sorority and enrolls at Harvard Law School, all in a vain attempt to win back her love, Warner Huntington III.  While there, Elle learns important lessons, about law, life and love. 

The musical stars senior Paige Pearson as Elle Woods, senior Mikey Ordonez as Warner Huntington III, and junior Kolby Thompson as Emmett Forrest. The Delta Nu sorority sisters are played by junior Kailyn Robert as Margot, freshman Cora Heisler as Pilar, junior Katie Testerman as Gaelen  and sophomore Kyla Majors as Kate.

Harvard law students include senior Manuel Friedlein as Aaron, sophomore Abby Gibbons as Jasmine, sophomore Trey Tomlinson as Ethan, and junior Courtney Cooley as Vivienne. Senior Kurtis Wilk plays Professor Callahan. Other cast members include freshman Georgia Hutton as Paulette, senior Jake Butterfield as Dewey, senior Mason Cozad as Kyle, freshman Faith Long as Brooke Wyndham,  and eighth-grade student Jolson Robert as Grandmaster Chad.

The show’s stage manager is freshman Jessica Davis, and it is directed by Kathy Camarena and Jaime McCoy.

Osage City High School will present “Legally Blonde The Musical” at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 and 15 in the school auditorium. Admission is $5 per person.
