Eat some chili to benefit local senior nutrition program

102214-chili-soupIf you haven’t already made supper plans, please consider the nutrition site’s chili soup feed 5-7 p.m. Thursday night, Nov. 6, at the Osage County Senior Center, 604 Market St., Osage City.

The holiday schedule for the next couple of months is starting to take shape. On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the center is closed, but there will be meal service at the nutrition site at noon. The center will be closed Nov. 27-28 for Thanksgiving.

A Christmas shopping trip is being planned for early December, weather allowing. However, no other details are available at this time. An evening supper trip is also being considered in early December to the Trail Days Café and museum in Council Grove. Check the senior center news each week for further information. And remember the general public transit service is available to Osage County citizens of all ages.
