The Osage County Senior Center will be a busy place during Smoke in the Spring this weekend in Osage City. The Osage City Band Booster Club will put on a delicious barbecue lunch on Saturday, and the car show will be in the next blocks to the south. Patrons are encouraged to come to enjoy the food and activities.

Speaking of food, the nutrition site’s birthday lunch is April 17, and nutrition site manager Ida Robb is lining up a special entertainment guest. If you don’t want to miss it, call 785-528-4906 at least 24 hours in advance to reserve your seat at the dinner table.


  • Thursday, April 11 – Biscuits and gravy 9 a.m.; art and painting class 9 a.m.
  • Friday, April 12 – Bingo 10 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Monday, April 15 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 11 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.; Pitch games, eat at 5:15 p.m., play cards at 5:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 16 – Ceramics 9 a.m.; Mexican Train games 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 17 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 11 a.m.; birthday lunch at noon; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 18 –Art and painting class 9 a.m.
