Seats filling for December shopping trip to Manhattan, supper trip to Council Grove

The Dec. 4 Trail Days Cafe supper trip and the Dec. 10 Christmas shopping trip to Manhattan are filling up fast. These public transit bus trips are open to riders of all ages. Call the Osage County Senior Center at 785-528-4906 to reserve a seat or to get more information.

Nov. 25 will be a big day at the senior center, 604 Market Street, Osage City. The Osage City Elementary School’s second-grade class will have Grandparents Day here for the second year in a row, which will be followed by a community blood drive that will feature several giveaways. We are proud to be involved with these really great community events.

  • Thursday, Nov. 20 – Art and painting class 9 a.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 21 – HTHC foot care clinic 9 a.m.; hearing tests 10 a.m.; bingo 10 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 24 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 11 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.; play pitch and eat 5:15 p.m., with cards beginning at 5:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 25 – Osage City Elementary School second grade Grandparents Day 9 a.m.; community blood drive.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 26 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 10:30 a.m.; birthday dinner at noon; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 27 – The senior center is closed Nov. 27 and 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
