Retired Burlingame band teacher opens new music store on the Santa Fe Trail

112214-trail-song-ribbon-2Retired Burlingame band teacher Mark Hecht has embarked on a new venture involving music and musical instruments. Hecht, who retired in 2012 after 27 years at Burlingame Schools, has opened Trail Songs Music, at 125 W. Santa Fe Ave., Burlingame. The new store sells all types and brands of new and used instruments and music supplies, and will make minor repairs to instruments or arrange for major repairs. Hecht also offers music lessons for a wide variety of musical instruments. The store will be open 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
