Senior center raffle winner to celebrate Christmas with warm, hand-sewn quilt

A big thank you to all who purchased quilt raffle tickets the last few months. The winner of the hand-sewn queen-size quilt donated by the senior sewing ladies was Lena Mitchell, of Brookside Retirement Community, in Overbrook. Genny Durkin, of Osage City, won the Sponge Bob Baby Wrapper. Several other prizes were given out, and the birthday lunch was excellent as usual.

For those who partake in the nutrition site’s lunch program, the next special lunch for birthday celebrators is January 14, the second Wednesday instead of the third Wednesday. We have been told this is a one-time thing.

We hope all of our patrons and bus riders have a wonderful holiday season. We look forward to seeing you and serving you in 2015.
