Enjoy some soup, help the senior nutrition program

Bean soup

Nutrition site’s bean soup feed fundraiser is this Thursday evening, Jan. 29.

Last reminder: the nutrition site’s bean soup feed fundraiser is this Thursday evening, Jan. 29, starting at 5 p.m. We really hope you will come to the Osage County Senior Center, 604 Market St., Osage City, for a wonderful winter evening meal.

Every Friday morning we put on a really neat bingo event. The fun starts at 10 a.m., and players should bring a prize valued at least $2. This way, everyone wins. Plus, the center continues to provide a variety of prizes for the Blackout Game at the end of the session. So come on in for some end-of-the-week fun.

We are tentatively looking at a cabin fever buster bus trip around the middle of February. It will probably be on a Saturday at lunch time. There will be more details in next week’s senior center news. But please remember, all public transit trips are dependent on road conditions and the weather. Contact the senior center at 785-528-4906 for more information.
