New owners acquire Osage City assisted living facility

An Osage City assisted living facility is under new ownership, after the acquisition of its parent company was completed earlier this week. Vintage Park at Osage City LLC, a 31-unit senior living residence, is now officially a subsidiary of Genesis HealthCare.

Genesis, a provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, announced on Feb. 3 it had completed the acquisition of Skilled Healthcare Group Inc., the former operator of Vintage Park. Skilled Healthcare Group also operates Hallmark Rehabilitation and Signature Home Health and Hospice.

The combination of the two companies has created one of the largest skilled nursing and post-acute care providers in the country, with more than 500 skilled nursing and senior living centers in 34 states.

“This is an exciting time for Vintage Park at Osage City LLC,” said Jodi Smith, Vintage Park of Osage City’s executive director.  “We will still provide the same high-quality care to our residents, but now look forward to benefitting from the expertise and support of Genesis.”

Genesis regional management and clinical teams will offer Vintage Park at Osage City additional experts in dietary, pharmacy, dementia care, regulatory compliance, recreational therapy and more.
