Dalton Thomas Lee Nichols, 16, Emporia: March 5, 1998 – Feb. 12, 2015

021515-nicholsEMPORIA – Dalton Thomas Lee Nichols, 16, passed away in Emporia, Kan., on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015. He was born March 5, 1998, in Topeka, the son of Rodney Lee and Kristine Marie Roush Nichols.

Dalton was a junior at Emporia High School. He had attended Lyndon High School, where he played football and baseball, was on the power lifting team, and played guitar in band. He also liked hunting and fishing and being in the outdoors. Dalton was a fun loving boy who would do anything for anyone who needed help. He just made you smile and it was infectious. We will miss that smile, that laugh, and that sparkle in your eye.

Dalton is survived by his parents; a brother, Dilan; a sister, Delani; his grandparents, Danny and Carol Roush, Lyndon, and Dale and Anita Nichols, Pomona; two great- grandmothers, Wanda Miles and Babe Roush, both of Osage City; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Mt. Pleasant Community Church, south east of Lyndon. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Feltner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lyndon Cemetery.
