Lyndon High School plans Honor Flight; veterans sought for June trip

Lyndon High School will be making an Honor Flight June 1-2, 2015, and is now looking for any World War II or Korean War Veterans who have not been on an Honor Flight and would like to go.

Any veteran or anyone who knows of or whose family member is a veteran that served during the years of 1939 through 1955, is asked to contact Marty Feltner, veteran coordinator, at 785-828-4434.

Honor Flight is an organization with a mission to transport America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. Kansas Honor Flight is unique in that high school students act as guardians for the veterans, providing a rich intergenerational and educational experience for both parties involved.
