Free shuttle to operate between downtown car show and air expo at Osage City

Our public bus service will be available for the Cruisin’ Cook’n Car Show held simultaneously with the Wings in the Spring Aircraft Expo, in Osage City starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 11. We will be providing free shuttle service from the area of Sixth and Market streets downtown to the Osage City Airport every hour on the hour. The last trip from the airport back to the downtown area would be at 2 p.m. Using this free shuttle service will help alleviate some of the parking congestion that occurs during the car show each year, and will provide those attending the chance to see both the road and air travel wonders on display that day.

The sign-up sheet is out for our first evening-out-for-supper bus trip set for Wednesday, April 22. We are going to Bruff’s Bar and Grill, a really good steakhouse in Emporia. The bus will leave the senior center at 5:15 p.m. The requested donation for this trip is $3 per person. Call us at 785-528-4906 for more information or to reserve your seat on the bus. We are limited to the first 15 people who sign up.

Although our free bus ride promotional county loop trip did not attract any riders on March 25, we are going to try it again on April 29. Remember this is a free ride on our public transit buses from anywhere in Osage County to the senior center at 604 Market St., Osage City. You’ll have time to experience the activities at the center, have a number of lunch meal options, and check out the shopping opportunities in downtown Osage City.
