Judith Hill, 66, Ocean Springs, Miss.: June 23, 1948 – March 31, 2015

040615-hillOCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. – Judith Hill, 66, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in Ocean Springs, Miss. She was born on June 23, 1948, in Emporia, Kan., the daughter of Charles and Evelyn Schmitendorf Glenn.

Judy had worked as a dispatcher for the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, for Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance, in Topeka, and American State Insurance Company. She retired from the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class in 1999 after 24 years of service.

Judy was married to Thomas Hill on April 6, 1989.

She is survived by her husband, Tom, of 26 years; son, Scott (Jenae) Karr, of Kansas; three daughters, Dawn (Curtis) Pilot, of Alabama, Michelle (Luke) Wilson, of Colorado, and Heidi (Darrin) McAllister, of Washington; brother, Stan (Rebecca) Glenn, of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Military graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 6, at the Biloxi National Cemetery, in Mississippi. Arrangements are by Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, Miss.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66541.
