Highway 68 near Quenemo closed due to flood waters Sunday

Update: Kansas Department of Transportation has reported that as of 6 a.m. Monday morning, state Highway 68 in Osage County is now open to all traffic north of Quenemo and south of the state Highway 268 junction. K-68 was closed at 2:45 p.m. yesterday due to high flood waters over the roadway.

Kansas Department of Transportation is reporting that state Highway 68 in Osage County County was closed to all traffic north of Quenemo (MM 11) and south of the state Highway 268 junction as of 2:45 p.m. today due to high flood waters over the roadway. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes until further notice.

KDOT is to provide notification when the roadway is reopened to all traffic.

Drivers should not attempt to drive through flooded or high water on roadways. Remember: TURN AROUND. DON’T DROWN!
