Opal May Bryson, 92, Overbrook: Nov. 2, 1922 – Dec. 12, 2014

052115-Opal-BrysonOVERBROOK – Opal May Bryson, 92, passed away Dec. 12, 2014. Opal was born to Herschel and Dorothy Pearle Talley on Nov. 2, 1922, in Overbrook, Kan.

She was a teacher for over 25 years in the Atchison school district, Atchison, Kan. She enjoyed playing the organ, camping, and crafts, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Kiwanis and National Camping Travelers. Opal was a longtime resident of Overbrook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Theron Bryson; son Marion Ray Bryson; and grandson Dusty Wallace.

She is survived by her children, Connie McDonald, Mitzi Duncan and Trudy Jensen; grandchildren, Jeffery Bryson, Rachael Salter, Aaron Salter, Duane McDonald, Chester McDonald, Lindsay Stevens, Kala Skinner, Dakota Duncan, Shaun Jensen and Daisy Jensen; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be at 4 p.m. May 23, 2015, at Overbrook Cemetery, Overbrook, Kan.
