Remember the price paid

By Chris Cole

I thought this picture was worth sharing. Lewis Ogle is pictured in the center of two gravestones. The grave on the right is his brother’s, David Ogle. David died in the Vietnam War at 20 years of age. He never had a chance to be married, become a father or grandfather. His nieces and nephews never met him. And his brother has lived 47 years without him. In this picture, Lewis is preparing to be a member of the honor guard team in the Memorial Day ceremony at Vassar earlier this week. Lewis and his family truly understand the price that has been paid.
