Guy Streeter, 55, Gridley: Dec. 13, 1959 – June 12, 2015

GRIDLEY, Kan. – Guy Streeter, 55, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, at his home in Gridley, Kan. He was born on Dec. 13, 1959, in Atchison, Kan., the son of Ben and Gladys Ham Streeter.

Guy had lived in Melvern for many years before moving to Gridley in 2008.

He graduated from Marias des Cygnes Valley High School in 1978. He had worked for Havens Steel in Ottawa as a welder.

On March 15, 1980, Guy married Holly Brown. They later divorced.

Guy was preceded in death by a grandson, Bradly Dickey on Dec. 11, 2009.

Guy is survived by his companion, Lora Boyden Streeter, of Gridley; son, Jacob Streeter, Ottawa; daughter, Erin (Ben) Dickey, Quenemo; parents, Ben and Gladys Streeter, Vassar; two brothers, Ray (Jamette) Streeter, Vassar, and Rex (LeAnna) Streeter, Overbrook; his sister, Peggy (Don) Shaw, Osage City; one grandson, Andrew.

Graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Vassar Cemetery.
