Osage County Fair schedule

Osage County Fair, Osage City
June 24-27, 2015

Wednesday, June 24

  • 7 a.m. – Fairgrounds open, livestock barns open for all animals except sheep and goats.
  • 8-11 a.m. – Entry of exhibits – 4-H, Cloverbuds, FFA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and open class. Entry cards available in parks and recreation building; animal entry in pavilion.
  • 9-11 a.m. – Sheep and goats unload and vet check.
  • 9:30 a.m. – Livestock weigh-in.
  • 1 p.m. – Judging of exhibits – parks and recreation building.
  • 6 p.m. – Grand opening ceremony at Doren D. Fredrickson Arena.
  • 6:30 p.m. – Bucket calf, dairy, and beef show at the pavilion.

Fairgrounds will close 30 minutes after the beef show.

Thursday, June 25

  • 8 a.m. – Donuts and juice sponsored by Frontier Farm Credit.
  • 8:30 a.m. – Swine show.
  • 7 p.m. – Osage City Chamber of Commerce parade – downtown Osage City.
  • 7:30 p.m. – Goat and sheep show.
  • 7-9 p.m. – 4-H farmers market at livestock barn.

Fairgrounds will close 30 minutes after the goat and sheep show.

Friday, June 26

  • 8 a.m. – Dog show.
  • 9 a.m. – Cat and pet show.
  • 10 a.m. – Rabbit and Poultry Show
  • 2 p.m. – 4-H animal costume contest
  • 7 p.m. – Round robin showmanship

Fairgrounds will close 30 minutes after the showmanship show

Saturday, June 27

  • 9 a.m. – Livestock judging contest at pavilion.
  • Noon – All animals released from fairgrounds.
  • 9 a.m.-noon – Antique tractor show, sponsored by Willing Workers 4-H tractor project.
  • 1 p.m. – Parade of tractors.
  • 12-3 p.m. – All exhibits released from fairgrounds.
  • 6 p.m. – 4-H livestock sale.
  • 10:15 p.m. (approximately) – Fireworks.

Fairgrounds will close 1 hour after 4-H livestock sale.
