Lunch and dinner trips scheduled to visit Topeka eateries

The signup sheets for our two July rider appreciation trips are out. On Saturday, July 18, we will have lunch at Cook’s American Grill, followed by a drive around some interesting areas of Topeka. The evening of July 23 our bus will head for Topeka again for a supper meal at Jose Peppers Mexican Restaurant. Call or stop by the center to get your name on the list. Each trip will be limited to the first 14 riders to sign up.

Stephanie Watson, Osage County Economic Development director, has officially set up her operations in the senior center. She will take over as senior center director on Aug. 21. Patrons of both the senior center and economic development are urged to stop by and welcome Stephanie.

It may seem early, but you might want to make a note on your calendar: the nutrition site will have an ice cream social the evening of July 30. That night they will also do the raffle drawing for the Nancy Morrow-Craighead art prints. This raffle benefits the local meals on wheels program. Tickets may be purchased at the senior center through July 30.

For more information stop by the Osage County Senior Center at 604 Market St., Osage City, or call 785-528-4906.
