Lyndon to phase out city administrator position at end of current contract

In a news release, the city of Lyndon announced the town’s city administrator position would be phased out at the expiration of the contract of the current city administrator, Betty Thompson.

The Lyndon City Council announced their intent to phase out the position at the July 6 city council meeting. Thompson has served as city administrator since July 2014.

Thompson’s contract continues through Wednesday, July 15, when an open house will be held in recognition of her service to the city. Refreshments will be available during city hall hours, 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m., for those who would like to stop by and bid Thompson farewell.
