Survey crew to visit every home in Osage City

The city of Osage City is advising that a door to door survey team began visiting every home in the city this week and will continue through Sept. 30, 2015.

The purpose of the survey is to accurately document Osage City’s low to moderate income rating with hopes of qualifying for community development block grants, according to Osage City Clerk Terri Fultz.

“You will know the survey team when they arrive because they will be carrying clipboards and knocking on doors,” Fultz said. “It will take less than a few minutes to answer all the questions. Everyone’s cooperation is certainly appreciated, as the grants can be used for multiple city projects while helping to keep property taxes and utility rates lower.”

The survey is being conducted by Governmental Assistance Services.

“We want to assure citizens answering the survey this will be a big benefit to the city,” said Osage City Manager Rod Willis.

Willis said citizens with questions about the survey should contact Osage City hall.

“We will do our best to answer their questions,” Willis said.
