Help House Extra: Food pantry needs filled

By Raylene Quaney, Help House

The food pantry is running VERY LOW. Items in need are spaghetti, and sauce, canned fruit, cereal, cake mixes, Jell-o, puddings, canned meat, hamburger helper, dry beans, cornbread mix, shopping bags, deodorant, shampoo and conditioners, toothpaste, diapers sizes 3, 4, 5 and pull ups; adult Depend type in all sizes, women’s hygiene products and baby food.

School Supplies

We are also collecting school supplies and as last year we hope that you can help us by donating new children’s underwear and socks. We will be giving these out Aug. 1-15, so drop off donations as soon as you can. Please do not leave them in the shed.

Volunteer

Here’s a “save the date” notice for all volunteers or anyone interested in volunteering at Help House. Renew your passion and purpose for volunteering during a presentation by Chad and Allison Chambers, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Pomona State Park Southwind Shelter House, Vassar. RSVP requested by Sept. 11.
