Bingo players help Help House

I can’t tell you how many items or how much the stuff weighed, but we took a bunch of good stuff to Help House after the first ever bingo to benefit Help House played at the senior center on Aug. 7. So we thank those who were involved.

There are still seats left on the buses going to the Combat Air Museum with lunch at McFarland’s on Aug. 15, and the evening supper trip to Perkin’s in Topeka on the 27th. These are both good get-away trips, so hopefully more will call in or stop by to reserve their seats. And, there are almost always seats available on our regularly scheduled shopping trips to Topeka and Emporia. It really is an efficient and convenient way to get out of the house for an enjoyable time with other local citizens.

The most recent community blood drive was held Thursday, Aug. 6. I apologize for publishing the date as Aug. 13 in the senior center news last week. A big thanks to those who donated. It is greatly appreciated.

Stop by the Osage County Senior Center at 604 Market St., Osage City, or call 785-528-4906 for more information.
