Osage City to pour on the fun during annual beer festival

091715-beer-fest-mugWhat more fun do you have planned for a fall Saturday afternoon than drinking samples of fine brewed beer? The Osage City Chamber of Commerce will be presenting its third annual beer tasting festival on the last Saturday of month, Sept. 26. The festival is expected to offer dozens of varieties of craft and imported beers, including some Kansas brews, for local beer aficionados to sample.

The ale fest event will be at Osage City Community Building, 517 S. First St., Osage City, with the first suds samples to be poured at 3 p.m. and until 6 p.m. Food vendors will also be available. The afternoon will also include live entertainment featuring the Bryton Stoll Band.

Tickets are $20 each in advance and a limited amount will be sold due to the building’s capacity; at the door, tickets are $25. Attendees must be 21 to enter. Tickets can be purchased at several area businesses, including Stark Car Wash, Jerry’s Thriftway and Bank of Osage City, all at Osage City, and Mulready’s at Emporia, and can be obtained at brownpaperticket.com. Ticket information is also available from Jim Lohmeyer, 785-217-7615, and Becky Siljenberg, 785-217-7342.

The event is a fundraiser for Osage City Chamber of Commerce’s projects.
