Go nuts counting your buttons at the senior center

It is almost National Nut Day at the Senior Center! Come celebrate on Oc. 22, 2015, enjoy a noon meal for a suggested donation of $3 for seniors and $6 for everyone else – yummy chicken salad, tomato soup, bun, and royal fluff. You must call the day before by 1 p.m. to reserve your meal by calling the center at 785-528-4906.

But before you enjoy National Nut Day you must pop in the day before on Count Your Button Day! Oct. 21 is Count Your Button Day. Guess how many buttons are in the sewing ladies button jar. If you guess it right we have a prize for you. Stay for a nutritious meal of meatloaf, baked potato, peas, roll, and blueberry crisp. Reserve your meal in advance.

Don’t forget Oct. 30 is our special Halloween Bingo! Dress up and bring a spooky gift ($2 value) to join the fun.

It is said we can learn from other peoples’ experiences. It is also said that our own personal experiences have a greater impact on us. Conclusion: We learn better from our own speeding tickets rather than somebody else’s!
