By Leanne Shoup, Lyndon Leader 4-H Club reporter

The Lyndon Leader 4-H Club kicked off their first meeting of the new 2015-2016 4-H year by celebrating their one-year anniversary with cake and ice cream. This celebration coincided with the 48 hours of 4-H event. The Lyndon Leaders want to thank all the project leaders and those who supported the club throughout the year. Everyone is excited to start a new year!

The meeting was held on Oct. 11, 2015, at the Lyndon school cafeteria. The meeting involved electing new officers, discussing upcoming events, and celebration of accomplishments.

The newly elected officers for the 2015-2016 year will be Kaelin Bones as president, Brayden Marcotte as vice president, Ryan Bones as secretary, Ethan Kneisler as treasurer, Leanne Shoup as reporter, and Addyson Easter as 4-H Council representative.

The club discussed last minute details in preparation for participating in the Trunk-or-Treat event 4:30-6 p.m. Oct. 31 at Jones Park. They moved and passed the motion to collect non-perishable items to donate to the Lyndon Help House at Thanksgiving.

The next club meeting will be an exchange meeting with the Vassar Blue Ribbon 4-H Club at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at the Vassar community building.
