60 days till Christmas! Help the library while you shop

Christmas_Wreath

Friendly reminder: Christmas is coming.

The Friends of the Osage City Public Library have started a new fundraising project that works while you shop. How does it work? It’s simple – participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. Families like yours purchase the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and the Friends keep the difference as revenue.

They’re the same gift certificates that you would buy at the store. Gift certificates are available from national and local retailers including restaurants, gas stations, retail and department stores. Gift certificates can be used for regular household shopping or can be purchased for gift giving during the holidays.

Order forms are available at the Osage City Public Library, 515 Main St. Orders will be taken until Dec. 12 to ensure delivery before the holidays.

Table settings sought for annual holiday exhibit

The Friends are offering a reminder about the annual table setting event during Christmas on Market, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Osage County Senior Center. Those interested in displaying a table setting may sign up and pay a $1 registration fee at the Osage City Library.

For more information on either activity, contact a Friends member or call the library at 785-528-3727. The senior center is at 604 Market St., Osage City.
