New pastor to lead Lyndon church

Lyndon Fellowship Bible Church has announced it has a new pastor. Jered Miller took over as pastor of the church in April.

Miller grew up Flint, Mich., a car factory city. He joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from high school in 1996. After spending four years in the service, he moved to the Kansas City area.

Miller began Bible college in the fall of 2001 and graduated from Calvary Bible College in 2006. He furthered his education, graduating from Calvary Theological Seminary in 2011 with a Master of Divinity degree.

He has been involved in youth ministry since getting out of the Navy. He was a youth leader for about seven years and then became the youth pastor at Shawnee Bible Church, at Shawnee, for about five years. While at Shawnee Bible Church he also led adult Sunday school classes and started a weekly senior living home chapel service.

He enjoys playing sports and spending time with family and friends.

Lyndon Fellowship Bible Church’s regular worship service is at 10:45 a.m. Sunday; Sunday School is 9:45-10:30 a.m. Visitors should note that there will not be a Sunday morning service on May 19 as church members will be attending Shawnee Bible Church to participate in a commissioning service for Miller.
