Lyndon invites all to annual winter celebration Saturday

120215-lyndon-winter-festivSanta Claus will be a busy fellow in Osage County this Saturday, with holiday parades and celebrations going on all over. But he will start out at Lyndon for the community’s annual winter festival as the honored celebrity in the morning parade. Afterward he will be available at Lyndon High School to visit with kids about their Christmas list, check on their naughtiness or niceness, and have photos taken.

In addition to the parade and visits with Santa, Lyndon’s celebration includes a 5K run and walk to benefit Lyndon Pride’s scholarship fund. And for holiday shoppers, the annual craft fair at the high school will provide plenty of gift ideas. In addition, the celebration comes with healthy benefits as the Midwest Cancer Alliance, KU Cancer Center’s outreach division, is scheduling physicians from KU Medical Center to provide free cancer screenings to all.

Everyone is invited to celebrate the holidays at Lyndon’s Winter Festival. Here is the schedule of events.
