OCPR Update: Junior high school play, softball pitching clinic, youth basketball

OCPR-logo-redUpcoming and ongoing Osage City Parks and Recreation activities for December include auditions for the junior high play, softball pitching clinic, and youth basketball.


OCPR Softball Pitching Clinic
Instructor, OCHS Softball Head Coach, Tammy Serna, 14 years coaching high school level softball

  • 3rd-8th grade softball players.
  • Clinic dates – Dec. 2, 9, 16.
  • Clinic times, 6-6:30 p.m., 6:30-7 p.m., 7-7:30 p.m., 7:30-8 p.m.
  • Pitching sessions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
  • Pitchers MUST supply their own catcher for the session.
  • $5 per player, per pitching session.
  • Clinic payment due the day of the clinic.
  • Clinic location, Osage City Parks and Recreation Building, 517 S. First St., Osage City.

Youth Basketball (Pre-K and kindergarten, coed)

Basketball instructors: Kate and Lucas Boss

  • Practice dates and times: 5-6 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 10-Feb. 21.
  • Location: Osage City junior high and high school gyms.
  • Players receive a team shirt and participation award.
  • Cost is $20 per player.

Signup deadline: Jan. 4


Junior High Play – “Into the Woods Jr.”

  • 6th, 7th, 8th grade students.
  • Play auditions: 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15, and 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the high school choir room.
  • Students will read from the script and sing a song of their choice.
  • Students MUST audition at one of the two above sessions.
