Kenneth LaVerne Williams, 95, Baldwin City: July 11, 1920 – Nov. 20, 2015

BALDWIN CITY – Kenneth LaVerne Williams, 95, passed away in his sleep on Nov. 20, 2015, in Baldwin City, Kan. He was born July 11, 1920, in Lyndon, Kan., the son of Lewis Williams and Beulah (Royer) Williams. Kenneth grew up in eastern Kansas and moved to Morgan County, Colorado, in 1951.

Kenneth had his own custom farming business and also worked for American Fertilizer, CO-OP, and Great Western Sugar Factory. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Morgan, Colo.

On Nov. 25, 1943, Kenneth was united in marriage to Marjorie Irene Sutton. They shared more than 72 years of loving marriage. 

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son Phillip Williams and his wife, Teresa, of Baldwin City; daughter Janet Black and her husband, Jim, of Centennial, Colo.; eight grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.
