Filkins named as Osage County EMS employee of the year

Dillon Filkins, AEMT

Osage County EMS has named Dillon Filkins, AEMT, as its 2015 employee of the year.

In addition to his patient care duties as an advanced emergency medical technician, Filkins started paramedic school this year and will graduate in the spring of 2016. He assists the service in numerous ways by directing and guiding facility and equipment maintenance. His nominator noted his positive attitude, being the first to step up to help, and his work to educate patients and the public. He is also an active member of Osage County Fire District No. 2 and the Kansas Army National Guard.

Filkins received the honor at the OCEMS’s Christmas dinner after being nominated by his coworkers. Voting was conducted by EMS technicians not affiliated with OCEMS.

Winning this award nominates Dillon for consideration as Techs Inc.’s employee of the year award. The winner from of each of Techs’ four services is nominated for that award and is voted on by EMS practitioners and administrators from outside of the company.
