Peggy Ann Eberhart, 82, Baldwin City: July 20, 1933 – Dec. 24, 2015

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Peggy Ann Eberhart, 82, of Baldwin City, Kan., passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, while in surgery in Topeka, Kan. She was born July 20, 1933, in Baldwin City, the daughter of Wilbur and Ruby Wright.

She grew up and attended school in Baldwin City. Peggy had resided at Brookside Manor, Overbrook, Kan., for the past three years.

Peggy spent several years caring for Baldwin City residents as a nurse in Dr. Ray Jones office, in Baldwin City. She attended Baker University, and after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Missouri Kansas City, she worked in several area hospitals in Kansas City, Lawrence and Topeka. 

She married Delbert L. Eberhart; they later divorced.

She is preceded in passing by her parents; a sister, Shirley Wright; and a brother, Richard Wright.

Peggy is survived by a sister, Margaret Gabbert, Prescott, Kan.; four children; Marsha Almond and her husband, Bill, Overbrook, Joseph Eberhart and his wife, Martha, Baldwin City, Cheryl Bowman and her husband, Bob, Berryton, Kan., and Paul Eberhart and his wife, Lori, Charleston, S.C.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Stony Point Cemetery, Baldwin City. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
